Bridger Pleased with Non-Standard Auto Launch
Bridger is only two weeks into launching its non-standard auto program, BridgerAuto, and the results are exceeding the company’s expectations.
“We are very pleased with the initials results at this stage”, stated Kimo Winterbottom, CEO. “We knew there was high demand for a new non-standard auto program in California, and we are trying to maintain high underwriting and claims standards to assure positive long term customer growth. From what our brokers have shared, it’s been a pretty smooth launch.”
The company’s new cloud-based policy management system is handling the load that agents have put on it; with more than 5,000 quotes processed in the first two weeks. “Agents are able to seamlessly move from the FSC and ITC raters directly into the policy system to submit and bind policies”, stated Farhan Husain, Bridger’s Chief Product Officer. “The start-up period has been really good, and the feedback we have received from brokers has resulted in some excellent improvements. To be expected, agents are adjusting to some new underwriting requirements and navigating the system to make sure those are properly completed,” Husain added.
BridgerAuto is being written on KnightGroup paper, which carries a B++ (Excellent) A.M. Best rating, and more than $500-million in group surplus. Bridger’s team is also working to initiate a quality assurance program to maintain the highest of standards within the broker network.
BridgerAuto will be expanding into Texas with an anticipated launch this summer. Initial results in California point to continued customer growth as the company continues to expand.
